#6 Global consciousness correlates with interhemispheric (transcallosal) signalling
Since the right hemisphere computes behaviour plans for the external environment, we would expect (external) language to evolve naturally from this hemisphere, because behaviour plans share many representational features with linguistic descriptions of those plans and their physical manifestations. The purpose of most speech is to find out, and perhaps to influence, the thoughts of others which would otherwise remain hidden.
